Having trained under Dennis Hawkins RA, Belinda studied Fine Art at Byam Shaw, and Figurative Sculpture at the Heatherley. She is currently studying for an MA in Art Therapy at the University of Hertfordshire and works in London as an Art Historian. Her specialism in 19th and 20th Century European and British Art forms the basis for her influences as a practising artist.
Her interest in colour and texture, pattern and form informs her compositions, which relate to the everyday experience of everyman. Her work is both visceral and psychological and can be read both literally and metaphorically.
She lives and works as an artist in Buckinghamshire, where she is inspired by the Chiltern Hills around her. As well as working in Ceramics and in 2D, Belinda is also a published novelist and performance poet and brings her close observations of life and nature into her work. She has exhibited in London, Edinburgh and Buckinghamshire, as well as online.
